Archie Campbell Limited is a stonemasonry and general building contractor based in Edinburgh and working throughout the central belt of Scotland and beyond, with over 20 years’ experience. We specialize in bespoke masonry projects, conservation, restoration, stone cleaning and general building work.

Stone Repair / Conservation

Stone Cleaning
Stone cleaning can transform your property and increase its value, restoring a dour oppressive facade to its former glory.
We use the industry standard DOFF stone cleaning system employing superheated steam. Controlled with a variable nozzle pressure, it can remove carbon staining, paint and biological matter from stonework without damaging the substrate.
Chimney Repairs
The exteriors of our Edinburgh properties are often forgotten about and chimneys can be the most neglected.
Some of these chimneys can be dangerous or letting water into your property.

Wall repairs and Lime Pointing
Archie Campbell Limited are experts in building new build walls or conserving the history of a building. Is your wall a bit tired or dangerous? Let us come round for a free quote and provide some advice on the wall.
Traditional masonry wall construction (which includes most walls built before 1919) works on the basis that moisture entering a wall is able to escape. Lime mortars can easily handle the transmission of water and water vapour. We can expertly repoint your project.
